Presentation of the new national commissioner The incumbent president said that the meeting was very important, as the Minister of Police will introduce to the commission the new national commissioner of police, Ms. Mangwashi Victoria Phiyega. The President-in-Office welcomed the Minister and the National Commissioner to the meeting. Police Minister Nathi Mtethwa said that after the appointment of the National Commissioner, there had been both congratulations and reservations from the public. National Commissioner Mangwashi Phiyega said she was ready and willing to serve the nation. The SAPS was on a challenging journey and they were all ready to take on the challenges.
